They run all the biggies against a series of common tests and rank the results. They do this every few months, too, so one month a given company might rank really well, and the next not so much. So it's good to review a few month's worth of reports. According to them, bitDefender is pretty good. I've never used them, but I know some folks at work who like it (and I work in a tech shop, so that's not a bad recommendation).
